All the days events, live 11.06pm BST Well, we always said the election campaign wouldn’t properly begin until April 29, when all the holidays were over, and that prediction is playing out in spades.Labor is pushing for the Liberal candidate for Isaacs, Jeremy Hearn, to be sacked, after the Herald Sun revealed anti-Islam social media posts he made last year, where he said Muslims were people of “bad character” who should be denied Australian citizenship.Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Liberals haven’t sacked a federal candidate for making racist comments since Pauline Hanson in 1996.Refusing to sack him is incredibly weak.
